Lidiya Yunatanov, Administrator

Lidiya has been working at Congregation Or Zarua for the past seven years since having moved here from the city of Namangan in Uzbekistan. Currently, Lidiya is Or Zarua's Adminstrator and her responsibilities here have grown considerably since starting seven years ago as the office clerk and as secretary to Rabbi Wechsler.

Growing up in Uzbekistan Lidiya was cognizant of her Judaism, but was unable publicly to display it. In the past seven years she has enjoyed learning a lot about Judaism at Congregation Or Zarua and has greatly expanded her skill set and command of the English language. Lidiya is especially thankful to Rabbi Wechsler; to Enid, the previous Or Zarua Administrator; to Barbara, the Executive Director; and to Ilana, the Youth Education Director. She really enjoys working with Or Zarua Congregants, clergy and "her team".

Lidiya lives in Queens with her husband David and with their three children, who are in 12th, 10th and 5th grades.
