Conversational Hebrew

Our Conversational Hebrew class for learning modern Hebrew is orally based, but with grammatical structures, word derivations, and topical vocabulary. The class meets once a week on Monday nights, at 7:30 pm, for a total of twenty sessions. Connections are made to synagogue liturgy, religious ritual, and biblical literature to aid in understanding. Use of many media (Israeli newspapers, music, pictures) is an ongoing feature. The ability to read Hebrew is a prerequisite; a crash course in reading will also be offered so that anyone wishing to join class can be prepared.
