Explore the symbolism of fire in Jewish tradition and the power of fire making in wilderness therapy during this evening of learning in observance of Lag B’Omer.
Rabbi Scott Bolton will explore the the symbolism of fire in Torah and other texts.
Jory Hanselman, featured speaker and director of BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy, will examine the intersection of Jewish tradition, wilderness experiences and whole health wellness. Explore with Jory how we as a Jewish community can increase awareness and decrease stigma around mental health challenges to create healthy, whole, and supportive communities. With a Lag B’Omer backdrop we will learn about fire making and other therapeutic approaches of outdoor behavioral healthcare.
