Jewish Holidays, Chagim, are a special time to celebrate with your family and community. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our program offerings are different at this time. Please read below about our “regular” offerings, if you’d like to learn more about Or Zarua and Or L’Atid, our programming for kids and families.

Celebrate the Chagim with Or L’Atid!

High Holy Days
Start the year with us as we celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur together.

High Holy Day Tots meets on Day 1 of Rosh Hashanah and High Holy Day Kids every day of the holidays.
Participate A Tashlich to Remember on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, with Or Zarua and KJ families.
Learn and pray with your family at the Family Learning Experience with Rabbi Amy Bolton.
Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers consider Yom Kippur-themed questions in Mah Zeh High Holy Days?!


Sukkot
Sukkot is perhaps the richest time of the year for Or L’Atid, with exciting celebrations for children and families!

Join the entire OZ community for our Congregational Sukkah Dinner on the first night of Sukkot.
Hebrew School families come together for our Hebrew School Family Dinner during hol ha’moed.
Tweens and teens join Rabbi Bolton for an evening of Sushi & Study in the Sukkah.
Parents bring little ones for Sukkot & Me. Sing, play, learn and read stories together up in the OZ sukkah.
Children love our annual Sukkot Sleepover.
Parents socialize at the Parents’ Night Out in the Sukkah.

The celebrations continue on Simhat Torah!

Young children begin the holiday with at Ice Cream at Sinai with Rabbi Bolton.
Teens and tweens enjoy dinner and dessert before we come together for the congregational celebration.


Hanukkah

Celebrate Hanukkah with the entire OZ community at the Congregational Hanukkah Dinner.
At the Family Hanukkah Havdalah enjoy Havdalah, candle lighting, dinner and a fun Hanukkah activity.
Young children come before Havdalah for a special Hanukkah Story-Time.
Hebrew School students and their families enjoy a school-wide Hanukkah celebration.


Purim
A fun night for the whole community!

Children come before the congregational Megillah reading for a special Kids’ Purim Party.
Families enjoy dinner together, and then are invited to Megillah reading and our annual OZ Purim Bash!
Little ones and parents are invited to come in costume for Sing Song Purim.


Shavuot

The whole OZ community is invited to our annual Shavuot Tikkun, followed by dairy desserts.
Tweens and teens learn late into the night at the Tween and Teen Tikkun Leil Shavuot.  Our own High School and College students prepare engaging, interactive sessions about varied topics of interest.
