 \nA homily for Rosh Hashanah preserved in Pesiqta de-Rav Kahanah describes
  the sixth day of creation. It draws a direct connection between Rosh Hash
 anah\, God’s daily schedule\, and the themes of sin\, judgment\, and rep
 entance. Dr. Kattan Gribetz will explore a series of rabbinic texts that r
 eflect on the question of God’s time and on the connections between time
 \, integrity\, judgment\, and forgiveness. What is the relationship betwee
 n how we use our time and what we value\, and how can we align our own dai
 ly schedules so that they reflect our values?\n\nSarit Kattan Gribetz is A
 ssociate Professor of Religious Studies and Jewish Studies at Yale Univers
 ity. Her first book\, Time and Difference in Rabbinic Judaism\, received a
  National Jewish Book Award. Her second book\, A Queen in Jerusalem: Helen
 a of Adiabene and the Transmission of Tradition\, is in press with Princet
 on University Press. She received her B.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton Univer
 sity and rabbinic ordination from Yeshivat Maharat. She lives in Riverdale
  with her family.
