SUMMARY:Gleaning Project\, Part 2 - Volunteers Needed!
DESCRIPTION:Part 2 of the 2025 Or Zarua Gleaning Project is almost upon us.
  On Erev Christmas Eli Zabar is again extending his generosity to donate f
 ood from some of his retail outlets and we will again be gleaning. The Ere
 v Christmas Gleaning Project will take place on Wednesday evening\, Decemb
 er 24.\n\nAs we did on Erev Thanksgiving\, the Gleaning will take place at
  Eli’s Market on Third Avenue/80th Street and Eli’s Essentials outlets
  at 87th Street/Lexington Avenue\, 91st Street/Madison Avenue and 73rd Str
 eet/Madison Avenue. We were able to perform the Erev Thanksgiving Gleaning
 \, where we did the packing of the donations\, at all locations but 73rd S
 treet/Madison Avenue\, and I am hoping that this will happen for Part 2. A
 dditional notices will be sent as more precise information is received inc
 luding the actual starting time(s).I want\, again\, to remind everyone tha
 t the Gleaning Project has always been a thoughtful experience for the chi
 ldren of the OZ community\, many of whom participated on Erev Thanksgiving
  and did a wonderful job. For some\, it is an early lesson towards underst
 anding that there are many members of this and other communities within Ne
 w York City who are not as fortunate as are most of us and\, but for what 
 we gather and deliver\, they would be without Holiday meals. For many it b
 ecomes the primary meal for more than one day. This year\, given the uncer
 tainties with Federal funding of so many food-security organizations\, thi
 s need is even more pronounced.\n\nPlease let me know as soon as you can i
