Shabbat Shirah this year features, as always, the Song of the Sea during the Torah reading and then what will be an engaging performance by one of the top university a cappella groups.
Tizmoret has a great repertoire of sacred, spirited Jewish and Israeli music as well as popular tunes arranged in fantastic, one-of-a-kind ways.
Our tradition is to invite a musical group on the Sabbath of Song, the Shabbat when we read the Song of the Sea from the Torah, which has a special tune. The Song of the Sea is a unique section of the Torah; we rise when it is chanted and there are even times when the congregation sings during the Torah reading.
