  the themes and liturgy of the three main services of Shabbat. We will sta
 rt with an overall survey of the importance of Shabbat in Jewish life. The
 n we get granular about the prayer book and go slowly through vocabulary\,
  to gain access to the Hebrew of\nour prayers. We will discuss why we repe
 at some paragraphs in each Shabbat Amidah and say others only once. Come e
 xplore our Sabbath liturgy\, our relationships to Shabbat and Heschel's "T
 he Sabbath." A little Shabbat on Thursday will inspire!
