On a day when we sit on the ground amid a world unmade, there is something quietly restorative about building on another’s Torah and naming him aloud. This teaching begins from “Wood and Stone,” a Tisha B’Av drashah by my colleague Rabbi Elazar Symon of Hadar, and it means to carry his insight one step further — from the ruins into the rebuilding.
