Following a brief discussion of Jewish settlement in the colonial south, we will trace the transition from the congregation’s traditional Orthodox orientation to reform Judaism, and back and forth to the vibrant present congregation. Perhaps next year we can convene and visit the first Jewish cemetery in New York downtown.
