Jewish, Hebrew and Israeli a cappella from Yale University
Join us for an inspiring, musical Shabbat with Magevet, one of the nation’s premiere Jewish a cappella singing groups. Magevet is known for its sweet blend of voices, unique arrangements, and lighthearted sense of humor. The group’s diverse repertoire spans modern Israeli pop and Renaissance choral pieces to Yiddish folk tunes and Zionist classics.
Magevet will sing between Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma’ariv on Friday night, and add richness to those services. There will be a dinner with a short set from Magevet and beautiful Friday night singing.
Reservations are required for dinner – click HERE.
Adults – $45 per person; Children ages 5-12 – $25 per person; There is no charge for children under 5, but please register them.
First-year members are welcome to attend the dinner for free, but please sign up by calling or emailing Deborah Wenger so we know how much food to order.
On Shabbat morning, Rabbi Bolton will collaborate with Magevet for a sermon in song, and we’ll enjoy a post-kiddush concert around 1:00 pm on Shabbat day.
