SERMON: “THE SURPRISE ENDING OF GENESIS”
The D’var Toarh: When we finish reading the Torah portion this week we will stand together as a community and proclaim: “Hazak, Hazak v’Nithazek” – from strength to strength, let us be strengthened.
We turn and turn our Torah to understand her a little more year after year. We come to the Torah as different people every year of our lives, and we finish reading every book of the Torah better off than we were before.
May our wisdom from the Book of Genesis increase as we finish reading it again this year; thank you, Lord, for allowing us to reach this milestone occasion.
